VULTURES
VULTURES
Vultures, written & directed by John Morton & Paddy Dunne, is the story of three private detectives who run a small scale private investigation agency in small town Ireland. The moderately successful business is called Vulture Private Investigations and specialises in dealing with divorce cases, fraud, missing persons, animals and plants and occasionally, just occasionally, they'll be served up something that approximates a mystery.
The three men are Jim Vultour (John Morton), a trained private detective with a keen deductive mind, a rational thinker obsessed with detail and also a master of disguise. Dan McGrain (David Thompson) is a graduate of criminal law and journalism equipped with razor sharp interrogative and interviewing skills, a keen reader and researcher and the chronicler of all their thrillingly mundane cases. Niall Tennyson (Seán Hackett) is a recently graduated student of police science. He is a field work specialist with expertise in surveillance technology and technical surveillance countermeasures.
These are three of the finest detectives operating today. They are also dysfunctional, eccentric and most of the time, bored. These are the Vultures.
Vultures. A Sitcom About Dicks...... Private Dicks!
Episode 3 of VULTURES has just started shooting in and around Kilkenny.
Titled ‘The Mystery Of The Night Time Refuse’ the episode sees the trio of detectives from V.P.I moving into a new office only to be immediately accused of rubbish dumping outside the new premises. When they are threatened with eviction by scarily intense rubbish warden Ned Savage they must get to the bottom of… lots of bin bags. Are they being framed? Is someone trying to get them kicked out of office after office? Why are their belongings in this new rubbish? And does Eddie Hobbs actually write his own books?
The answers shall be revealed in the coming weeks as the third instalment of Vultures reveals its wares. Filming started on 26th of August and will continue over the coming weeks in and around Kilkenny City.
Sean Hackett, John Morton and David Thompson all return as Tennyson, Vultour and McGrain. The newcomers to the cast are John Doran as the intensely rubbish hating Ned Savage and Peter McGann as the hard partying, hen night loving V.P.I lawyer, Matt McLoughlin.
The cast also features Ross Costigan (Jack Street), Liadain Kaminska (Isabelle Vultour), Stephen Colfer (Tom Moriarty), Gus McDonagh (Noah Hennessy), Niamh Moroney (Sarah Black), Paul Young (Inspector Leeson), Tommy Ruane (The Stalkee) and Eddie Brennan (Fred Bass). With a new crew and office in place, Vultures is kicking up a gear as the first series motors on.
Currently being shot in and around Kilkenny, the teaser trailer for Episode 3 has now gone online. It’s a scene that serves as a bridging point between Episode 2 and the forthcoming episode with the evicted detectives forced to set up shop in a very familiar looking public park.
